Find your tribe at Hooves

Therapeutic Hooves' group sessions provide a relaxed, welcoming environment where children and young people can connect with others, build friendships, and develop social skills through shared experiences.

Every session is delivered in a safe and supportive setting, encouraging participants to grow in confidence while having fun outdoors.

Working alongside the horses, participants take part in a variety of engaging, hands-on activities that may include:

  • Horse care and grooming

  • Forest school and nature-based activities

  • Arts and crafts

  • Team games and supported play

  • Seasonal activities such as campfires and den building

The sessions are designed to promote positive wellbeing while helping participants develop:

  • Social and communication skills

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Emotional regulation

  • Teamwork and cooperation

  • Resilience and positive peer relationships

As with all Therapeutic Hooves programmes, group sessions follow a person-centred approach, ensuring activities are inclusive and adapted to meet the needs of those attending. By combining meaningful interaction with horses, time in nature, and creative outdoor experiences, the sessions provide a nurturing space where participants can flourish, make friends, and build skills that support their emotional, social, and mental wellbeing.
