Therapeutic Hooves has been supporting children, teens and adults with additional needs and life challenging conditions for over 10 years. We are an approved session provider to Hertfordshire county council and receive referrals from a wide variety of organisations including CAHMS, Social services, Foster support, Secure Hospital units , Schools, colleges, care homes and more. Our aim is to provide a safe, secure and friendly space to enable those attending to reach their full potential by teaching the tools and techniques of emotional regulation, confidence building and help improve self esteem
Here at Therapeutic Hooves we take a person centric approach which means we adapt our programme to meet the specific need of each individual who attends. One size does not fit all and our setting and session structure reflects this. We support children, young people and adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties, physical disabilities, neurodiversities and life limiting conditions. Our programmes are based on a positive psychological approach which encompass the individuals physical, mental and emotional well-being. We aim to build Resilience, Confidence, self-esteem, emotional understanding and self regulation and teach positive coping strategies. We deliver this through a range of 1:1 and group interventions in a calm, friendly and welcoming space that promotes flourishing.
